companies offer special rates for overseas calls.
An alternative is Internet calls or special access numbers. Some companies offer country specific dedicated access numbers, such as 0870..., 0844 ...number, to call various countries. Fees for phoning European countries, the USA and Australia are around 1p. The Middle East and Africa is more expensive at around 10p/minute. However this is usually still cheaper than using a normal BT line. |
